Dr. Karen Matt has been in education for 23 years with the previous 17 being in administration. She has worked directly with students at all levels from PK-12 giving her a unique perspective on where students have been and where they need to go. In addition to her work in the K-12 setting, Dr. Matt is an adjunct professor in the doctoral program at the University of Houston-Clear Lake and serves on the leadership team with Raise Your Hand Texas, a non-profit organization that supports education in numerous capacities. Dr. Matt has two grown children, Jordyn and Kobey, who are also educators.
